17 Designs for the Holidays

By far my favorite time of the year is during the Holidays! Lot’s of celebration, good eating, and occasionally some gifts here and there :) But one of the greatest part – at least for me, is the Holiday marketing that wraps the face of many of our favorite brands this time of year. I’ve gone through and compiled as of November 20th, the websites we know and love that are already placing up their new designs for the season. Some have the obvious advantages with their brand (such as Target and their red logo) but all of these companies take a different and fresh approach to the Holidays.

Here they are – Lets make sure we continue to add to the list as we get closer to the Holidays!! Do you use the holidays for a yearly marketing campaign? OR better yet, are you hired out to create these campaigns for clients? $$

Pottery Barn – Sticking with their classy designed brand, yet adding a themed element, makes this site very welcoming to the users during the Holidays.

Restoration Hardware – I enjoy the structured, grey design that they implemented into their website because it allows them to add color with their products to instantly draw the visitors attention.

H & M – When you visit the website, you are shown an animated video that is perfect for the Holidays. They grabbed my attention from the beginning – I never even considered the “skip intro” button.

Victoria Secret - While using their signature look, Victoria Secret wraps their entire website into the Holiday theme by designing background designs and fonts for the season.

Crate & Barrel – What a fun company! The plain design of their website also allows for colors to pop whenever the products are listed.

Starbucks – This is one of my favorite websites during the Holidays. They always bring a fun element to their site that keeps users coming back. This year they are really promoting the VIA and it looks like they will be some good stocking stuffers.

Zappos – They not only re-designed the logo for the season but also created a total Holiday feel for the incoming clothing buyers.

J.Crew – One of the most known clothing store pulls out all the stops this time of year with their print, tv, and online advertising. When you first visit the site you can see that they mean business and are ready to drag you into one (of a few) online purchase.

Target - The notorious red target logo transform this time of year into many different forms for the Holidays. By taking advantage of their red theme, Target reaches their customers this time of year by offering shipping discounts, Christmas products, and enjoy the Holidays throughout their entire store – including the online one.

Tiffany & Co. – The famous red bow event is widely known this time of year. They take advantage of the white look this time of year and add flair to their Tiffany Blue packaging.

Urban Outfitters – One of my favorite places to shop during the Holidays, places the season’s themes all throughout the website. Even their logo gets a bow!

Macy’s – Most known by many as the leaders during the Holiday season, Macy’s designs and markets their products and brand throughout their store, tv ads, and their Thanksgiving parade.

Walmart - Wii anyone? Being one of the largest stores here, at least in America, Walmart gets their brand exposure by discounting most of the most wanted items.

Mercedes - Sleek and seasonal, Mercedes welcomes visitors to the website with their lineup in the snow with trees and mountains in the background.

Chick -Fil-A – Widely known for their traditional chicken sandwich, the company moves into this Holiday season with a Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake.

Bass Pro Shops – A top seller of outdoor hunting, fishing, and camping gear decorates their website with tons of Holiday specials.

Hersheys – Yummm…This company really makes the most of the season by creating holiday gift ideas for users on the website.
